How this estimate is calculated
System size is worked back from your monthly consumption, assuming a blended BESCOM domestic tariff of around ₹7.5 per unit and a generation of roughly 4 units per kW per day, which is a realistic year-round average for Karnataka's roughly 300 sunny days. If you enter rooftop area instead, we assume about 100 sq ft of shade-free roof per kW.
Installation cost uses current Bangalore market rates per kW, which fall as system size rises. The subsidy line applies Karnataka's current PM Surya Ghar slabs — ₹30,000 for 1kW, ₹60,000 for 2kW, and a capped ₹78,000 for 3kW and above — and the 25-year figure assumes tariffs keep rising at about 3% a year.
Your exact quote may vary based on roof orientation, shading, structure type, and your actual electrical setup, which is what the free site survey confirms. Nothing here is a commitment on either side.
